Blurb: Deep in the heart of the forest, four clans of warrior cats coexist in uneasy harmony — but uncertain times are upon them, and dangers threaten the precarious balance of the forest.
Fireheart is a ThunderClan warrior cat now, but his troubles are far from over. As the chill of winter sets in, the cats of rival RiverClan grow restless, while WindClan is weak and facing threats from all sides.
As tensions build to an explosive climax, Fireheart faces not only imminent battle, but betrayal from within his own Clan.
Review: If this wasn’t a children’s book, I would have a slight problem with the few times the book went into “previously on” mode but I say that I’m giving it a pass because of it being a children’s book and because the books were published months apart.
I tell ya, I would have appreciated the “previously on” in some books I’ve read.
I love the new cover for this book, I love that Tigerclaw is the cat featured here and the art just captures that creepy killer vibe that I get from him while reading.
I get so caught up in the story and even though I know what’s going to happen, I still get anxious feelings when the tension builds. This is why I love re-reading good books, I get all these feelings back and remember why I loved them.
This series may be the only children’s books that I enjoy and will re-read over and over again.
The pace is excellent for the plot, there’s quite a bit going on in the story but the authors give equal time to all of it. They really know how to pull at your heart strings as well.
Thank you for reading my review.
