Blurb: Vittorio Ferraro is a man whose family loyalty knows no bounds. He would die for his siblings and the people they love, but what he really wants is to start a family of his own. Deep down, Vittorio has always known finding a woman who could ride shadows would be nearly impossible—let alone one who could accept his particular needs—and he never expected to find her in the middle of a kidnapping.…
Grace Murphy has always been drawn to Vittorio Ferraro—or at least to the billionaire’s public bad-boy persona. Now that she’s under his protection and the sole focus of his intense caring, she can’t help wanting to get as close to him as possible. But Grace knows her presence is putting the entire Ferraro family in danger. Her monster of a brother will never let her go, but Vittorio has no intention of losing the woman whose shadow matches his own.
Review: This one…I’m really not that big a fan of. Vittorio just seemed really clingy. They have to wake up together, they have to swim together, they have to do everything together. Work out, go on runs. No thank you.
This one…I have to say is gonna be at the bottom of my list for the Shadow Riders series. It’s not as bad as Dark Peril, so I don’t think I would be skipping this one on a re-read like I’m pretty sure I will with Dark Peril, but again all my dislikes are with the couple.
I don’t know, I guess it’s because I’m just a very private person, I’ve got passwords on everything and I just can’t vibe with a guy taking over everything.
Do I like that he’s willing to talk things through instead of just dictating right off the bat? Of course, but making her sit down with your family while she’s working? And that he’ll be by her side while she’s working? Nah, dude. Just seems very overbearing to me.
I can’t even really comment on the story because it was mostly the couple being overbearingly clingy. Anyways, I really can’t wait for Emme’s and Val’s story, a little bit of Romeo and Juliet action here. I really hope it’s worth the build up and the hype.
Thank you for reading my review.
