Blurb: Billionaire playboy Ricco Ferraro knows no other life. Being a shadow rider is in his blood – but so is a haunting desperation stemming from the secrets of his dark past. His recklessness puts not only his life at risk, but also the future of his entire family. To save them all, he must find a woman who can meet his every desire with a heat all her own…
Just when Ricco has given up hope, he meets her – a mysterious woman whose shadow connects with his. She’s someone looking for a safe haven from the danger that has stalked her over the last several months. In Ricco’s embrace, she finds one. But the darkness in which they so often find sanctuary can also consume them…
Review: This was a pretty good book and I did enjoy reading it. Now I don’t think this one was as good as the first book, Shadow Rider. Still a good read though, I didn’t want to stop.
Now don’t get me wrong, I did have a few things to say about a couple of places in the story, but I only had so many lines on the journal page, right?
The mystery in this one kept me very interested, but I feel like the author should have put in a few little tidbits about the culprits so that the readers could work it out for themselves as well. Get the readers engaged, otherwise it’s just shock value.
!!!WARNING: SPOLIERS!!!
So with this family, their mom and dad are both still alive… until this book. The dad dies and the readers get to experience his death, knowing what he felt, how he regretted THE YEARS of cheating on his wife. It literally just comes out of no where and I feel like it wasn’t necessary. We could have learned about his death when Stefano and the others did.
Stefano says that they would know about her being a shadow rider, cause they know families. Would you, though? Would you? You didn’t know about your own wife and you’ve already said being a shadow rider is rare. So would you?
!!!END SPOILERS!!!
Not BIG spoilers, but still enough of a spoiler that I wanted to tag spoilers so there ya go.
Thanks for reading my review!
