Blurb: Whether it’s fast cars or fast women, Stefano Ferraro gets what he wants. When he’s not fodder for the paparazzi, he commands Ferraro family businesses—both legitimate and illegitimate.

While their criminal activity is simply a rumor yet to be proven, no one knows the real truth. The Ferraros are a family of shadow riders capable of manipulating light and dark, an ability Stefano thought ran in his family alone—until now…

With little left to her name, Francesca Cappello has come to Chicago in hopes of a new life. She wasn’t expecting to attract the attention of a man with primal hunger in his eyes, driven to claim her as his to protect and to please. And if he discovers her secret, it could ruin her…

Review: I actually really liked this book. I kind of thought that it would be yet another spin off from the Drakes books so I waited to read this until after I’d read that again. I’m kind of upset at myself for doing that.

I really enjoyed this new family, where the men smiled, laughed and loved each other. It’s really refreshing after the leopards and Carpathians who seem to really be doom and gloom, even after they find their partner. It’s like pulling teeth getting them to smile or laugh.

I did find a few typos but nothing to really harp on. I was kind of impressed with myself that I managed to find them on my first read through instead of my tenth.

I just feel like the author makes the men in this series a little more…human? A little more relatable and I don’t know if she’s changing how she writes or if it’s because she’s writing Italian men and Italians are all about family and love. What ever it is, I’m here for men who smile a lot.

Thank you for reading my review.
