Review: Despite the few typos I noticed  throughout here, Hawkfrost mentioned as the deputy and Lionkit saying that Dustpelt said Stormfur wasn’t a real ThunderClan cat when it was Spiderleg who said it. Then there’s Heavystep still being mentioned in the RiverClan elders when he died in the last series. Even with that, it was still a good beginning to this new one.

The new cover for this book is so creepy and sends a chill down my spine though I really wouldn’t say that the story matches, it’s good but not creepy.

The writing was good and the first chapter seemed to try to hint at Jaykit being blind but it wasn’t really all that successful. I think if the Erin’s had stayed away from the physical descriptions, it would have been more successful.

I couldn’t really connect to Jaypaw, it seemed like he just went out of his way to be the most difficult. I know he wanted to prove that being blind wasn’t going to stop him but, there really didn’t seem to be any reason for how he acted. If he had proved that he could do what he could do without being stupid, like hunting foxes of all things, he wouldn’t have been treated differently.
