Blurb: A desperate quest for revenge
Tallpaw is a loyal WindClan apprentice who is eager to protect his Clan. But before Tallpaw can complete his apprentice training, a tragic incident leaves his father dead–and Tallpaw consumed by a burning desire for vengeance. Even as he earns his warrior name, Talltail, he cannot see past the anger in his heart.
Though it goes against everything he has been taught, Talltail puts his loyalty to WindClan aside and travels far from home in search of justice for his father. But Talltail’s new life outside the laws of the warrior code is filled with danger. . .and he is forced to decide how much he is willing to sacrifice for revenge.
Review: I might have to revise my order of how I read my super editions because this one is before Bluestar’s Prophecy and Crookedstar’s Promise so, I might read this one first.
More characterization than in Yellowfang’s Secret and I really enjoyed the fact that the readers got to spend some time with Jake and that Firestar was vaguely mentioned as his kit to Tallstar.
Even though it wasn’t heavily emotional, I did enjoy this book, I could hardly put it down. While Yellowfang’s just felt like a ‘just because’ book, this one actually felt like it had some purpose. It had growth and depth and I felt connected.
I love the hardback cover, it’s so pleasing to look at and the pace was excellent for the plot of the story, I actually enjoyed the journey.
The writing kept me hooked and thinking about it even when I had to set it down and go to work.
I still would highly recommend these books to every age, from young children to early and late teens to adults. This series is just so good.
Thank you for reading my review.
