Blurb: A humorous read about an incredible dog and how he had found his true, yet unexpected calling.
A dog. A friendship. A purpose.
When a Great Dane arrives in a navy base nobody expects him to win everybody’s hearts, although breaking some rules along the way. But things soon turn sour as somebody threatens to put him to sleep. Who will stand up for this for-legged gentle giant? Tackling universal themes and voicing animal rights and the importance of fighting for what is right.

Review: This was pretty interesting. I thought that I wasn’t going to enjoy this but I really did. It was a nice little break from all the fantasy that I’ve been reading and I really thought the way the author told the story was a great idea.

I thought I would have wanted it told from that timeline, as something going on at that moment but, the Grandpa telling the story just had this bit of nostalgic feeling to it.

The cover is…not very eye-catching for me but maybe it’s a good to catch a child’s eye, it is geared toward that audience. The writing was simple but detailed just enough that I could see what was going on.

It’s geared for the six – 10 year old range but I also believe that adults would find it a nice, quick little read, take a break from every day things and go back to their childhood for a short time.

I also love that it highlights the Great Danes and shows that even though they are massive dogs, they are gentle giants.

I would definitely recommend this to children and even adults.

Thank you for reading my review.
