Review: This book right here, while not as emotional as Bluestar’s Prophecy, was still a great read. Also unlike Bluestar, this was a little more lighthearted but I honestly hated Crookedstar’s mother, Rainflower.

Was the way her kits looked the only reason she loved them? It really seems that way when she rejects him when he messes up his jaw.

The cover doesn’t really portray the way he looks when his jaw is described so it gets a little difficult to imagine him as the story goes on.

The place near the end was what really got me almost crying, when Willowbreeze died and he spent the night in the nursery with two of his three kits. Then when he woke up, he nudged them back to him when he tumbled away. Oh man, that got me tearing up.

Then when he started ignoring his surviving kit, I just wanted to shake him. He knew what that felt like, why would he do it to her? So you can bet that I was happy when Oakheart called him out on it.

The writing hooked me in and the pace was excellent for the plot. Not my favorite but it’s still a really good read.
