☆☆/5

Blurb: Need some evil doing? Well, ficketty feck, you’ve come to the right place.

Amura, the dark witch, hates mornings, and school, and the basketball captain, and that annoying Susan girl, and even that hot guy, Master (especially him).

She would have been quite happy quietly doing evil. But then a daughter of Gaea, Susan, came into the world, and Susan is dying. If she does die, then the world must be cleansed i.e. we all die. To save herself, Amura must save Susan, and everybody else on Earth.

Review: I really don’t know how I feel about this book. I keep thinking that I hated it but then something would happen and get my attention again. I feel like the story was trying to be a movie or show with voice over with how it was written.

Every time I thought that I would stop reading, there was just something that kept me reading. Also, it just seemed like the story was all over the place.

The cover is alright and the blurb really wouldn’t make me want to read, maybe grab my attention for a minute but I don’t know, that first part of the blurb where it’s talking about school just makes me think about high school drama.

The substitutes for some of the curse words just kind of seemed like the author was trying a bit too hard to be clean while also trying to be a little dirty, talking about having sex and all that.

I also feel like the writing level was meant for younger audiences but the subject level was meant for an older audience, like late teens. The idea is pretty neat and has the potential to go into a series but I’m not sure about the execution.

I would give this a 2.5 and I would recommend for those getting into dark mysteries.

Thank you for reading my review.
