Review: I actually really enjoyed this book. I could have done without the history lessons though, I kind of skipped over those, well skimmed mostly because I knew that they would be talked about.
The mystery was kept to the forefront and she was a little active in trying to figure it out while also dealing with petty little high school drama.
The cover is gorgeous, amazingly so and actually incorporates a bit of the story and I would tell you but that would be a spoiler.
The writing is good enough to really keep me reading, especially all through the night when I couldn’t get to sleep.
This also isn’t like the other mermaid books I’ve read but if I say anything about it, those will be spoilers as well.
The pace of the plot was excellent and the little bit of history I did read did help to make the story make sense. I’m also quite glad that I could connect easily though when she broke down, I wanted to smack her.
This is a good little mermaid book I think guys would enjoy as much as the girls, I would recommend to young adults as well as older adults.
