Last year, I don’t know if it was because I was just getting into reviewing books or what but I managed to read 200 books. I was so determined to read another 200 books this year, especially when I started the year off by reading The Ghostwalker series by Christine Feehan.
Somewhere in the middle of the year though, I just got into a reading slump. I love to read and last year, I found that I love to write reviews as well but I just didn’t have any energy to do anything let alone read or write anything.
Looking at my insights during the year and then knowing what I did last year, not a good feeling. Also not a good feeling, this reading slump has set me back so far that I’m so backed up on my Author To Be Read list.
Somehow I got a little of my energy back and I’ve been slowly but surely getting caught up on my reading and my reviews but there’s no way I’m going to get 200 books read by the end of the year. I’m not too worried about that though because I’m getting my reading groove back so maybe I’ll hit 200 books next year.
Have you been in a reading slump? How long did it last, did you try to push through it or did you kind of wait until you got your reading groove back?
I just have to wait till I’m in the mood or find something that I just can’t resist.
