Blurb: When Cole Steele, a womanizer rumored to have killed his father, meets Maia Armstrong, a veterinarian rumored to practice magic, the sizzling romance could melt all the snow on his Wyoming ranch. And when an injured horse brings them together, Cole can’t help but believe that Maia casts spells on animals—and men. What else could explain the burning passion he feels for her and the thawing of his heart just in time for Christmas?

Review: I loved this mystery. When Cole let down his guard around Maia and Jase, the story was so funny, I was laughing so much!

The mystery in this one wasn’t any where near as spooky as After the Music but it’s a good little romantic mystery full of emotion to read any time of the year but I think especially around Christmas. Even though it wasn’t a spooky ghost mystery, it’s really not an answer that you pick up right away.

The brothers just pull at the readers heartstrings, even Cole, who tries to keep himself aloof. When the story focused on the three of them, it was just so sweet and the connection was just so strong to me that I couldn’t help but smile each time.

Even with the very slight paranormal aspects of this mystery, it was so realistic and the writing is so great that I could just see it all in my head. A winter wonderland with an empty house and suspicion everywhere until one woman comes to treat a horse and then it starts to change and it slowly turns into a happy romance.

The cover is beautiful and the pace is perfect. I do wish she would write more mysteries, and dare I say it? I think her mysteries are even better than her other series. Maybe it’s because these books are just more realistic and I can actually relate better with these characters instead of her Carpathians or leopards.

Thank you for reading my review.
