Review: I love this book so much that if I had not needed to work the other day, I would have finished it in a day, it’s that good.
I’m loving that it’s going back to the men allowing themselves to listen to the women and let them make the choice to be with them, the De La Cruz brothers really need to take notes here.
I felt so connected to Fen that I don’t feel like he would have done anything that different even if he hadn’t been mixed blood, he’s just that thoughtful and sweet.
I absolutely loved getting to spend so much time with Dimitri and Skyler, even if she wasn’t there physically. I’ve read something about their relationship so far that I don’t really agree with but I’ll get more into that when I review Dark Wolf.
I kind of wish that the Lycans had been brought up more in past books, the readers haven’t seen anything about them since Dark Possession and it was kind of easy to forget about them.
The plot and the mystery was interesting and continues to have me hooked, and I believe that it always will no matter how many times I read this book.
A little side note, when Gregori first joined the fight, I didn’t really feel connected to him until I saw him with his daughters later on. They give him so much trouble, it’s the cutest. That’s another thing I really liked, was seeing the children that the Carpathians have fought so hard for.
This far into the series, I wouldn’t recommend read these as stand-alones but I really wouldn’t recommend reading this one plus the next two out of order, it’s a trilogy within the series.
