When I received this from the author, I decided to go ahead and download the first one, Love Me, and I’m so glad I did. Because of that, I already felt a connection to Conner and I’m so in love with his book.
I haven’t read the two books before this but compared to Love Me, this one was rather dirty with two cases of some extreme PDA, at least it was dark and no one was around.
I still love the writing, I was up until three to finish this book because I couldn’t put it down, though I wouldn’t say I feel the same way about it as I do The Choosing, which I was also up until three finishing.
It’s like the author weaves emotion into her books and knows how to make readers feel what she wants to feel. Example, when Conner was a jerk and hurt her and she just wanted to have “fun,” I could feel that it wasn’t right and felt frustrated.
And once more, this book seemed to have everything. Usually endings like the one this story has feel anti-climactic but I think that if it had happened any other way, I would have been disappointed. This was a very intense read with mystery, an emotional rollercoaster and a dramatic end.
Thank you for reading my review.
