Another favorite of the Ghostwalker books for me, right up there with Night Game and Murder Game, which I just finished reading and am currently writing a review for.

It’s actually really refreshing seeing a couple that already know each other and have established a relationship, even if they don’t really know what the other really is. I’ll get another taste of a couple already knowing each other in Street Game, which I just started reading.

This team doesn’t really seem to be as interactive with each other as Ryland’s team is. In those first three books they were pretty much there all the time, in this one, eh not so much.

I really enjoyed seeing Jesse and Saber together, especially after what happened to him in Mind Game and even though he didn’t say her name, I loved that he referenced Dahlia, especially when trying to convince Saber to give their relationship a chance. I loved seeing their interactions, feeling that connection they have, making each other laugh even when they suspected each other of betraying them.

Honestly, it was just cute, especially the nicknames they have for one another. Angel face and dragon king, I just couldn’t help but smile each time those came up.

I feel like this was a fitting story for Jesse, the romance felt like it was right on track and even though the plot was a little slow in picking up, it wasn’t bad. I was never bored with it, I didn’t want to put it down.

I did like the fact that in the major plot of the story, the author lets the readers into the head of the main antagonist, gave it a little bit of a psychological aspect, though Murder Game has that in abundance.

A little side note, I think it would be really great is his sister getting a book and if you read this story, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about, but I don’t see that happening, at least not in the foreseeable future.

A little action-packed but not nearly as much as Deadly Game, this couple actually got to spend quite a bit of time together.

The writing for the action seemed a little rushed but as I said, the romance seemed spot on for what was going on.

Thank you for reading my review.
