If you’re reading the books in order like I am then Gator was one of the ones you’ve been very excited about. The Cajun smooth-talker finally gets his book.
Gator has to be one of my favorite Ghostwalkers but his book did run a little long and with them finding out the same information separately, it was just a tad bit more repetitive than usual. Because of that, I gave it four stars instead of five.
I don’t know how many times I’ve read this book but I just noticed a typo a little more than halfway through the book. Maybe it’s because I was actually looking for typos? I mean, it’s what I’ve been doing since I started my blog and reviewing books.
It’s still difficult for me to properly review these books but I think I’m getting the hang of it. I’m trying to look at them like it’s the first time I’m reading them but, I still know I’m going to love them.
Usually, a side story like Joy’s would be overwhelming but, with how long the book was, it kept it from getting boring, especially with Wyatt and Ian. This is one of the few authors that can really write good side characters that help the story move along instead of being overwhelming and taking over or being completely forgettable.
It helps keep the readers interested and excited for their books, although the next book is about Jack Norton and we won’t get back to the Army Ghostwalkers for a good bit.
The ending almost wasn’t a happy one and that was a big risk that could have ruined the book but, it was emotional and making me tear up while keeping me turning the pages to get that happy ending.
Thank you for reading my review.
