I think I must be on a Military specific reading spree right now because first the Tempting Seals and Elite Ops by Lora Leigh and the Elle Kennedy books and now I’m re-reading the Ghostwalker series. Though that’s mostly because the next Ghostwalker book comes out this month.

Starting my year off with re-reading my Ghostwalker books is great, I love them all. The author knows how to write the beginnings of her stories to instantly get the readers hooked.

I feel like I’m going to have trouble reviewing these books because I’m going to be biased since I love all of these stories, Christine Feehan is my favorite author, as I mentioned before. This is going to be a challenge so, bear with me here.

The storyline is an interesting one, an experiment to enhance psychic abilities, military men turned into even deadlier men and girls brought from third-world countries to be experimented on being pulled together.

The writing is amazing, though a little repetitive but not so much that it takes away from the story progressing.

I also really liked that the other members of the team had some ‘screen’ time, so to speak. It gets the readers ready to go on to the next book, already getting just a little bit attached to the characters. It was fun seeing the team bantering with each other back and forth.

The author keeps the plot rolling and the intimacy of the couple growing. There’s so much emotion going on, between what Lily finds out about her father to getting to know Ryland, despite her attempts to keep him at arms length.

There was laughter even in intense situations, even the calmest of the group would joke around a bit, though not as much as the others.

The ending was all wrapped up nicely while still leaving room for the other books. They could be read as stand-alones, though with Lily being mentioned in just about every book so far, it might be a good idea to read them in order.
