This was less intense than Dangerous Games but, I loved it no less, in fact I loved it just a bit more.

I thought it was interesting to see someone else in this series affected by the drug that affected two of the characters in the next series, Wild Card and Maverick, though not to those extremes.

I don’t really recall if this book had the same problem of using the Army in place of the Navy but I guess that’s because I wasn’t really paying attention. I was too busy watching Kell catch a vixen ;D

This author has yet to disappoint me, even though I did give Maverick three stars, I still hold her up there with my favorite author Christine Feehan, even though this isn’t paranormal romance.

In fact, I think adding a paranormal aspect to this would have taken away from the story instead of adding to it.

I think this may be the first book I’ve read that has the father trying to keep her out of everything while the alpha male is letting her make her own decisions on her safety and keeping her in the loop.

Also, since I read the Elite Ops series first, thus reading Maverick first, it was interesting to see who the traitor was and how he was portrayed. This is one of the reasons I don’t like reading series out of order, it took away the surprise factor but, I didn’t really have a choice in the matter.

I can’t wait to review Killer Secrets, but that will have to wait until tomorrow.

Thank you for reading my review.

  1. Finally I’ve found someone on WordPress who are interested in the same novels/authors I love to read! I vaguely remember reading “Hidden Agenda,” but can’t remember anything about it. My favorite books from Lora Leigh are the Breeds series. Have you read any of them?
