Blogging

Blogging

I know I don’t post everyday, except for that month in July, but I honestly do love running this blog. I actually feel productive and I feel like I have some sort of purpose.

I write down a bunch of books I want to read, that I have, in my book journals (I have two so far, both almost full), pick which book journal I want to write in for that time and go in the order I wrote them down.

Then after I’m done with a book, if I liked/loved it, I will write what it’s about in my own words, if I didn’t like it then I write the teaser down, then write my opinion, along with any questions I have.

Then I go through the process of making a review on here, getting the book picture, typing in the info I wrote down and then typing up my review, 9 times out of 10, I’ll end up editing my written review while typing it to make it more appealing to my followers or even just people taking a gander (I recently watched Sweeny Todd).

I guess what I’m trying to say is that instead of just going through the motions of reading a book, I actually have a system now to make me work, to get me thinking, revising, and working on my typing skills. I can type pretty fast but when I was out of school for summer or winter break, I would barely type, now I’m getting all of that rust out.

So, why am I telling you this? I want to know why it is you blog. Were you like me and took a class where you needed to run a blog for a grade or did you just feel like blogging about something? If you review books like I do, do you have a system or do you just read and review?
