☆☆☆/5

I’m not really sure how I feel about this book. A little more repetitive than the last one but it did keep me turning the pages. The story was good but I think the things I’m not too sure of was the couple.

Also, there were quite a few typos. An editor either just skimmed through or there wasn’t one. I would highly recommend authors get a good editor because typos like that just tend to throw readers off and take away from the story.

With the couple, I didn’t really feel that strong of a connection, it didn’t really go in depth, it didn’t seem to move on the physical aspect.

I know about self-esteem issues, I have quite a few of my own, but when it’s brought up constantly throughout the story, with hardly any mention of the deeper emotions, it just starts feeling a bit shallow. It was like they didn’t care about what’s in the inside, that it was just about the beauty.

Also, the way she reacted to finding out about the truth of the mission was rather uncalled for. She’s an unknown, the team doesn’t know how she’ll react so of course they’re going to lie, at least a little bit. She acted childish.

Sabella, in Wild Card, handled the lying with grace. Even though she was pissed, she knew that the mission was important and if she opened her mouth about it, everyone could be in danger.

While I did have some problems with the book, I still liked it well enough that I would read it again and I do want to go on with the series.

Thank you for reading my review.
