☆☆☆☆/5
Even though it was rather obvious about who was behind everything, at least one person, the story to getting there was really what got me.
The romance seemed to take a backseat to everything and while I can understand why, maybe the author could have held off on the two getting in bed. It just seemed a bit out of place.
The ending also bothered me, it felt rushed and barely put together, unlike her other book Fatal Burn, even though that one was so long maybe this one should have been a little longer so the ending could have more volume.
I’m only taking away one star though because the story itself was interesting enough to keep me going back for more and turning pages.
The characters were written well enough that the readers can feel just enough of a connection to the emotions but not enough to really feel the intimacy.
The writing wasn’t great but it was good enough to keep me happy to continue reading.
This is the second Lisa Jackson book I’ve read and I’m thinking that she’s got a good thing going so far, hopefully her writing doesn’t change or if it does, I hope it just gets better.
Thank you for reading my review.
