Just so you know, my fellow bookworms, everyone is rich. The readers can’t ever have a chance to forget that everyone is so rich. I mean, there are some that are richer than others and some are considered below the poverty line but everyone is wealthy and rich. Did I happen to mention that they are so rich?
I couldn’t turn the page without the author using the word wealthy or rich in every other sentence. I made it to chapter 8 and I’ve gotten so tired of that word, I just had to share it with you.
I just had to put the book away after chapter 8, I couldn’t go on, I just couldn’t. The main character isn’t even in the actual spotlight, the readers don’t get into her head until either chapter 7 or 8.
I’m in college, I have to sit through lectures every semester about stuff I don’t even really care about, I don’t need that from my books. Put the history of the house and the characters in flashbacks or in a prequel novella or something. Just don’t bore your readers.
I doubt even teens, the recommended audience, would enjoy this book. I would rather read the petty teen high school drama than this history, wannabe spy story.
Thank you for reading my review.
