☆☆☆☆/5

Another book that I have read before, this time in 2011, four years ago, and I have to tell you, I loved it then and I love it now.

One thing I could have done without and it’s the reason I gave this book four stars instead of five. It was the constant, well seemingly constant sex.

I love paranormal romances, don’t get me wrong but this just seemed a bit excessive and, in my case, distracted from the story and mystery.

Otherwise, it was a great read and engaging. It’s a mystery that will give you plenty of suspects and make the reader think over every single one of them.

Now, there’s already a warning when you get the book about the explicit material so to any of the younger readers, be careful with this. It’s pretty detailed.

There’s also a lot of physical feelings so even though the blurb mentions a Detective Witt Long, don’t expect a love story. Yes, they have a connection and I love that connection but, they don’t get anywhere near a relationship in this first book.

The writing in this book is great, it’s been a while since I’ve read a book that I could see like a movie in my head and I’m glad that I got to experience that with this story.

Thank you for reading my review.
