Blurb: Long ago there lived a beautiful child. Her name was Violet. Fair of skin, with blonde hair and large blue eyes. Born of wild magic, she was a woman with a child’s heart. Innocent and lovely, but not at all what she seemed–you see Violet went by another name: The Heartsong.

She was the child of fairy magic, the physical manifestation of all fae kinds unbridled power. Cosseted and pampered, she grew up in isolation, never knowing who she really was, or why there were those who’d seek to harm her.

Ewan of the Blackfoot Clan is a wolf with a problem. He’s been sent to kill the Heartsong, but the moment he lays eyes on the blonde beauty he knows he’ll defy the evil fae he works for to claim Violet as his own.

This is the tale of Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, as it really happened…

Review: Completely different from the last two books but still great. Even though Her Mad Hatter was a little dark, there was still some funny parts, not here though. There’s no laughing in this book, well there is a little bit near the end.

This one is dark and a bit of a journey, so while it’s longer than the others, it doesn’t feel that long. I even finished it in a day because I was just so engaged with it.

I think the author made the journey just long enough to not bore the readers.

While I loved Her Mad Hatter and Gerard’s Beauty for being light hearted and funny while also being high emotional, I really liked the change up to the dark side of it.

Also, it was a nice surprise to have one of them want to be in a relationship with the other. And the little teaser about Jinni for the next book thrown in there at the end really made me curious about it. Bravo Marie Hall.

I’m really loving the Bad Five and their mates. This one wasn’t even focused mainly on the relationship like the others and it feels like with every book the author writes, her stories grow and she’s putting more and more into the story.

I need the other books and not just the Bad Five, I want the Dark Princess Kingdom books as well.

Thank you for reading my review.
