Blurb: Alice is all grown up. Running the Mad Hatter’s Cupcakery and Tea Shoppe is a delicious job, until fate–and a fairy godmother with a weakness for bad boys–throws her a curveball. Now, Alice is the newest resident of Wonderland, where the Mad Hatter fuels her fantasies and thrills her body with his dark touch.

The Mad Hatter may have a voice and a body made for sex, but he takes no lovers. Ever. But a determined fairy godmother has forced Alice into Wonderland–and his arms. Now, as desire and madness converge, the Hatter must decide if he will fight the fairy godmother’s mating–or fight for Alice.

Review: A much different take on fairy tales, one of the first where the cartoons of said fairy tales are mentioned. I mean, of course there was Unenchanted, about the Grimm fairy tales and then was Before Midnight, which is based off of a fairy tale but this one mentioned the Alice in Wonderland book, movie, and Tim Burton movie. Take a seat kiddies, this is one fairy tale meant for adults.

Also, first fairy tale book I’ve come across that is about the bad guys or side characters coming together, which is different but in a very good way.

A short fourteen chapter book, it was perfect for its size. Everything was wrapped up and it was so emotional. I laughed and I wanted to cry, at the end I got so anxious wondering if everything would work out, even though I knew it would.

While writing this in my journal, I’m reading Gerard’s Beauty and I can’t wait to get back to it, it’s hilarious so far.

Now, I’ll admit that her freaking out probably didn’t last as long as it normally would but, with it being a short book and how much material is put inside of it, I can understand.

You can bet that I’ll be back to re-read this again and again. If Gerard’s Beauty keeps going the way it is, I actually feel highly confident about the next book Red and Her Wolf since I got the first three books in a little free box set.

Thank you for reading my review.
