Review: Yet another book that I got so emotional about, I wanted to throw it. It very nearly made me cry in a couple of places.
One of the things that I really liked about this book is that it didn’t string the reader along with little hints as to what happened in the past, it brings us back to the past all together to see how they meet and what happened. It lets us fall in love when they did, experience what they did, and get attached to them so that when it brings the reader back to the present, you’re just hoping with everything you have that everything works out.
Usually if a book is seeming to get a little long, I’ll check to see how many chapters I have, almost like looking at the clock during a long work day or a class that is seeming to drag on. Not this one. I was actually surprised by how far I was when I noticed the chapter, I was hooked.
Another thing that I really enjoyed about this is that it was divided into two books with the same amount of chapters and in the point of view of the love interest. We already knew how he felt and I’m so glad it switched over to her so we could experience what she was going through.
I could not put this down to save my life, except for at work and this was all I could think about. I actually stayed up past the usual time that I’m asleep to finish this thing. I was on a rollercoaster of emotions and I was physically reacting, jumping up and almost yelling at the book near the end.
Give this book a chance and I hope that you’ll love it as much as I do. I’m excited about this series and this author.
