Blurb: Greylan Pace has been a fighter his entire life…

He’s worked hard to get to the top as a mixed martial arts fighter, and finally his time in the spotlight has come. Everything he’s ever wanted is at his fingertips.

Then, one event changed his life forever…

Now Greylan finds himself back on top, going to battle in the biggest fight of his life. But he soon learns that what he’s strived for means nothing in comparison to his fight to keep his sister, his best friend Christina, and Mollie Andrews, the girl he can’t stop thinking about.

He fights with everything he’s got to keep his focus on his goal, but for the first time ever, he’s afraid he might lose.

Review: I don’t know how she did it but, Heather Allen surprised me with this one; especially after her other book Just Breathe. She can write a good adult novel, that’s for sure. Not so much on the youth novels.

Was it good enough for five stars? In my opinion, no. It was good enough for me to finish it the same day I started it though. Was her writing better? Eh, somewhat. While it was still simple, it was almost too simple like her other book but, this one pulled out enough detail and descriptions to keep this reader interested. I’m glad I gave this one a chance.

The love interest though, that’s one reason I took off that forth star. The love interest wasn’t interesting. My guess would have to be it was because I didn’t know anything about her. I couldn’t connect with the love story in this one. I actually connected more with a side character than I did with the main characters love interest.

I don’t know if that’s what was supposed to happen but, that’s how I felt. I knew nothing about this woman save for her name and what she looked like. That’s it, nothing else…until the end and even then, I don’t know anything about her.

The ending kind of makes up for, I can kind of understand it but, throw me a bone here. He falls in love with a woman he knows nothing about? I, and I’m sure he, would have at least liked to get to know her, even if she had to edit some stuff.

I’m curious enough to go on with the next book but, I’m kind of nervous about it.

Thank you for reading my review.
