Review: The beginning was a little rocky for me, it was just a regular high school day with regular high school drama. I hate to admit that I started judging the book by those first few pages but, I’m really glad that I kept going.
After all the normal setting of the high school and when the plot got going is when it grabbed ahold of me and wouldn’t let go. It was so good.
I was, dare I say it, enchanted with this book. Another twist on Fairy Tales that I am happy to keep reading, just like Before Midnight, but this series is going to have all of the Fairy Tales happening to one person.
Instead of focusing just on the high school and having the plot as some kind of background noise like some youth novels do, this one stayed focused on the plot, which was a welcome relief. It had just a little drama sprinkled throughout.
That ending though, that ending. I did not see that coming, not at all, and I’m mad. Not, this book ended in a horrible way and I’ll never read it again, way but in a, I can’t believe the author wrote that, why would she do that to her character, way. It’s written in a way that made this reader want to go ahead and get the next book even though I can’t get it right now.
Not only do I want that ending resolved, I really want to see how this all plays out. Chanda Hahn, you have my attention.
