Review: Because of that last book I read, the one I couldn’t finish, and the fact that this book is sixty chapters long had this reader somewhat reluctant to read it. Am I glad I took the chance and read it anyway.

It was so great.

While it was about a high school student, it didn’t focus on the high school drama for once, which I was very grateful for. Even though it was sixty chapters long, they were short and to the point, nothing wasted on unnecessary drama, dialogue, descriptions, or repetitions.

I also really liked the fact that it didn’t just focus on one person, it switched every chapter from the main female protagonist to the main male protagonist. I didn’t just get to fall in love with one character and get to know the other as just a love interest, I got to know and fall in love with both characters as their own people, it was great.

That is how to write different point of views, start it right off the bat so the reader doesn’t get slammed into another head and brought back to the beginning of a story that they’ve already read, like Guardians.

This book was easy to read through and I felt connected to both characters as separate people. Would I read this again? You bet I would. Would I recommend this to anyone, regardless of the genre they like? Hell yeah. Give this book a chance and I bet you will not be disappointed.
