Review: Look at that cover, that cover is just beautiful, If this book wasn’t in the Paranormal 13 box set, I would’ve picked it just because of that. If I was rating covers that would definitely get a five star rating. But I’m not here to review the cover, I’m here to review the book, which was good enough to pull a four star rating out of me, especially after all the let downs.

This made me feel a lot of things and I wouldn’t say that it was all good. Another youth novel that I’m just surprised at how the author portrays teenagers, how they’re treated and how they treat each other.

This was another interesting take on vampires but the romance was taking away from the story rather than adding to it, in my opinion. The love triangle was a bit much with everything that she’s going through and I think that it probably could have been saved for the next book..

Besides that, it kept my attention pretty well, enough so that even when she was acting like a brat, I didn’t feel the need to put it down to take a break and when I did put it down, it was on my mind. I really wanted to reach the end.

If it hadn’t been for the love triangle and the overreactions, at least what I through were overreactions, this really could have been a five star book but, I felt the need to take away one star. It really could have been a great book without all the extra drama.

I’ll be honest, it did take just a little bit to get into it and, as the box set doesn’t provide a description of the book and the teaser doesn’t really mention it, I was surprised when they mentioned vampires. It didn’t even lead up to it, it just kind of threw the surprise in the protagonists and the readers face.

If I were to recommend vampire novels to anyone, this would not be at the top of my list however, it would be in the top five.
