Review: I have to say, I am not impressed with this book, the Paranormal 13 box set has disappointed me once again.
I couldn’t connect to this one, the writing was choppy and instead of feeling like a well-written story or being able to see it in my head, it just felt like someone writing fan-fiction for the first time. I know that some books may be fan-fiction of something else but, they usually don’t feel that way like this one did.
It repeated the names way to much, Loki this, Loki that, Amy this, Amy that. You know that old saying “that’s my name, don’t wear it out”? Well, this author should have kept that in mind while writing this. I’m so tired of the name Loki and Amy now, no offense to anyone with the name Amy.
I really struggled with finishing this book, even though it was kind of short and even though I have questions about it that would warrant going onto the next book, I just feel no desire to go any further.
It left off on a good cliff-hanger but the story is kind of forgettable and that’s one of the reasons that when I write my review in my journal, I write what the book is about so I won’t forget it.
I really wouldn’t recommend this to anyone, it just didn’t impress me that much.

Fiction - A Separate World 
I tried to read this one, too. Since I don’t review books, and there are so many good ones to read, I quit after about 30 pages.

I wished I could’ve quit but, I figured that my professor would have posted more instructions on what to blog so I had to finish it since it was so close to Monday but, he didn’t so, that’s a couple of days I won’t get back. Oh well, if it saves anyone else from being disappointed by this book, I’ll have done my job.

Wait, you’re reading this for a class? WTF?! You get to read this and I had to read Virginia Wolff and Chinua Achebe? I had to hatchet my way through 17th, 18th, and 19th C. literature and you’re getting to read this? Tell me more!

I know! It’s great! My major is Corporate Communication and one of the classes I have to take is called New Media Publishing on Web and we have to run a blog, which is how I got started on here. He gave us the choice of what we wanted to blog about and I chose book reviews because I’m an avid reader.
